Model 342 features a highly wrap-around design engineered for mountain activities, mountaineering and sailing. The front frame is molded IN Grilamid - a polyamide highly resistant to low temperatures - and features an internal bevel along the lens rims to securely hold the lenses. The nose pads are made of Megol rubber and bonded to the front frame, ensuring a comfortable fit while preventing slippage. The temple tips are also made of Megol and feature two slots for attaching the included neoprene retainer strap. The Model 342 is available with either a high-contrast (HC) mirrored polycarbonate lens (UV 400nm, Cat. 3) or a high-altitude "QUATTRO" lens (Cat. 4). The latter is a lens developed specifically for high-altitude environments, offering maximum protection (Cat. 4). Its base color - a unique high-contrast smoke tint - was fine-tuned to reduce eye strain when facing highly reflective surfaces like snow and ice. The external mirror coating serves to reduce glare. The eyewear comes in a hard case and includes a cleaning cloth. A CE information booklet is also included inside.
