Salice Occhiali - always focused to the safety of skiers and athletes - with ICE helmet is taking care also to mountaineer, ski mountaineer and climber. This helmet is in fact approved with European certification EN 1077:2007 class B e American ASTM F2040:2018 specific for skiing, the European one EN 12492:2021 specification of mountaineering equipment and UIAA 106 certificate, plus restrictive, and dictated by the International Union of Mountaineering Associations. Defined as a multisport helmet, the ICE helmet has an internal EPS shell co-molded to the external polycarbonate shell, got a compact shape and has 13 ventilation holes. Regarding thermoregulation, it is essential to point out that the ICE helmet is sold with a removable and washable EVA technical padding which allows maximum breathability for mountaineering and climbing and a winter padding is included for the skiing version. The use of this padding will make it warmer and more suitable for traditional skiing while the change with EVA padding will transform it into a cooler model, therefore ideal for ski mountaineers and climbers. Given the variables of use, the helmet is proposed with three multipurpose elastic bands - two on the sides and one at the front - necessary to lock the mask on the shell, as well as any head torches necessary for excursions at night or at dawn. The ICE helmet is available in two sizes, both equipped with a micrometric size adjuster: S-M (53-58 cm for 300 grams) and L-XL (58-61 cm for 320 grams). The correct choice of size, the right adjustment of the rotor combined with the tightening under the chin - entrusted to a strap with buckle - allow to optimize the fit and avoid slipping that could compromise safety.
